Nashville, TN: Erin Healy was named Fiction Editor of the Year by the Advanced Writers and Speakers Association (AWSA) at the International Christian Retail Show.
With this accolade to her credit, Healy is co-authoring two romantic suspense novels with New York Times best-selling author Ted Dekker set to release in 2009. With a desire to raise the bar for women’s fiction in its category, Dekker and Healy take suspense and mystery fiction to new heights with strong female protagonists, innovative devices, and well-crafted plots. The novels were first taken to Thomas Nelson Publishers, home to Dekker, who quickly saw the great potential and jumped in as the partner. All involved are excited about launching Healy, who is seen as one of those rare and talented writers who can quickly grow into a new and viable brand for readers.
Dan Raines, literary agent for Ted Dekker and Erin Healy at Creative Trust Inc., says of this exciting author launch, “Healy is a strong and talented writer and, like Dekker, creates the same kind of incredible, adrenaline-surging scenes. We feel female audiences will crave her stories once they get a taste. We’re excited about Ted’s mentoring a new author while broadening his own female audience. What’s so exciting about Healy for readers is she’s got a strong writing style that will appeal to female readers and continue to grow.”
Forming strategic author partnerships is a model that Raines wants to continue under the right conditions. Under his leadership, Creative Trust literary management is working and expanding to be seen as a leader in the industry for strong author brands.
Healy says of working with Creative Trust, “It’s a privilege to be represented by this capable, savvy group of people who serve such respectable artists. I’m most excited about Creative Trust’s broad view of all the ways a great story can be delivered to the market.”
